Fraxel® - The Upside of Laser Resurfacing, With Less Downtime
Get a life - it's said all the time. But, you don't need to get a life; you've got one. What you want to do is get on with it. Fraxel® laser treatment in Portland, Oregon can help you do just that.
Featured in high-profile publications like O Magazine and Vogue, Fraxel laser treatment is a targeted skin care treatment that exists between traditional laser resurfacing and modern, nonablative techniques, ultimately giving you the best of both. Non-surgical, minimally-invasive and collagen boosting, Fraxel laser treatment isolates damaged skin cells, while promoting the skin's natural healing process to produce new cells. Left untouched, healthy skin remains just that, healthy.

Fraxel Laser Treatment - Less Is More
A series of "fractional" laser treatments, Fraxel creates a microthermal treatment zone or grid where adjustable laser microbeams administer energy in a random pattern. Typically, only 20% of the skin's surface receives laser energy. And, because only random pixels of skin are treated, adjacent healthy tissue remains unaffected. Left unharmed, healing times are minimized, especially when compared to procedures such as CO2 ablative lasers.
You can have beautiful skin with Fraxel laser treatment. It can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and pigmentation problems. Additionally, with Fraxel laser treatment, you have options for acne and acne scarring. It can even be used off the face to treat everything from the neck and chest to the hands and arms.
Before your Fraxel laser treatment, the area to be treated is prepared with a blue tint, which helps the laser see the contours of your skin. During the procedure, you should expect some discomfort, although this will be minimized with the use of a cool air device. Immediately following laser treatment, you may experience a few days of slight swelling and redness, followed by light flaking. Another treatment often combined with Fraxel include BOTOX® injections in Portland, Oregon.
