Before your line and wrinkle treatment, you’ll want to avoid smoking and drinking, stop taking blood thinners, stay hydrated, and avoid certain skincare treatments. You should also come to your appointment without any makeup on. Dr. Key will give you full, detailed instructions on everything you’ll need to do before treatment.
During Your Line & Wrinkle Treatment
What happens during your treatment depends on the type of treatment you’re having done. With injectables, we’ll cleanse the treatment area, mark the injection sites, and then use a thin needle to inject the formula into the appropriate areas.
With laser and radiofrequency treatments, Dr. Key will cleanse the treatment area and apply topical anesthetic if necessary. From there, he’ll use the appropriate handpiece to deliver the treatment to your skin. At most, you may feel a slight warmth or tingling sensation.
After Your Line & Wrinkle Treatment
Before you leave our office, Dr. Key will give you detailed instructions on how best to take care of your skin post-treatment. Depending on the treatment, you may need to avoid laying down, strenuous exercise, excess sun exposure, and putting pressure on the treatment area.
