Duration of effect depends on the patient. All fillers have a duration specified in their FDA approval process which is more of an average duration. Depending on metabolism and other factors, Juvéderm can last for a shorter period or much longer period than the FDA approved duration.

Q: How painful are Juvederm injections?

We use topical numbing for Juvéderm which reduces the pain of injection significantly.

Q: Should I massage juvederm lump?

Do not massage the area for the first 2 days after injection. In most cases, lumpiness during this period is just swelling/inflammation. If lumpiness persists for more than 2 days, you can start massaging the area. We recommend warm compresses followed by a gentle massage three to five times daily.
